Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These terms apply when you download or use Malhada (“the app”), developed by Speechon Studio (registered business name: 스피치온스튜디오 / Speechonstudio), Republic of Korea (“we”, “us”). By using the app you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

2. What the app is

Malhada shows the pitch, loudness and timing of your voice for everyday speaking practice.

• It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.
• Readings are estimates. They can vary with your phone, its microphone, your distance from the phone and background noise. Loudness readings are relative and are not from a calibrated sound meter.

3. Use it comfortably

Practice within a comfortable range. Stop and rest if you feel pain, strain, hoarseness or dizziness. If you have ongoing concerns about your voice or speech, talk to a qualified professional.

4. Your license

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control, for personal and non-commercial purposes, in line with these terms and Google Play’s terms.

You agree not to copy, modify, resell or reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows it, and not to use the app for anything unlawful.

5. Free use and purchases

• The app is free to download. Free use includes daily limits on some tools and shows ads.
• Full unlock is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It removes the daily limits and ads for the features described on the purchase screen. Features that require a subscription available only in Korea are not included.
• Purchases are made through Google Play, which sets the price in your local currency and handles payment and refunds under the Google Play refund policy.
• Your purchase is linked to the Google account you used. To restore it on another phone, sign in with the same account and tap Restore purchases in the app.

6. Your recordings

Recordings, guide voices and scripts you create belong to you and are stored only on your phone. We don’t keep a copy, so we can’t recover them if they are deleted.

Each plan can keep a limited number of recordings. To keep copies, use Export (available after you upgrade) to save them to your phone’s storage or another app before you reach the limit, delete them, uninstall the app or change phones.

Only record other people’s voices, or use audio from other sources, if you have their permission or the right to do so.

7. Changes to the app

We may update, change or remove features to improve the app or to meet legal or platform requirements. Some features may not be available in every country or language.

8. Disclaimer

To the extent the law allows, the app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including that it will be error-free or that readings will be accurate for your purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer laws that cannot be waived, or our liability where it cannot be limited by law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If you are a consumer, you also keep any protections given by the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the app or in the Google Play release notes. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
